Look, Mexico is supposedly a country of laws just like the US. It's laws, written by Representatives of all of the various states represent Mexican values.... Or at least values that the Mexican citizen has allowed its government to impose on them. A prime example is a little border town by the name of Nogalas in the Sonoran desert. Until it was divided by the border fence they shared absolutely the same family members, the same climate and geography and customs. North of the border (before the fence was built) the average wage was about 30k a year while south of the border, less than 10K. The only difference between the two halves of the town is law. Mexico has chosen to allow people like Carlos Slim to amass a fortune off the backs of the people of the country while giving nothing back. Those people should change their government, not attempt to come to the US and claim ownership here... they have already shown a lack of stewardship in their own country....unfortunately a growing number of people in this country are moving in the direction of Mexican style authoritarian leadership and if you don't think Obama was authoritarian you are blinded by the light.
